Hello! This is the 7th time I am reaching out to you regarding the missing part that was also listed in the purchase agreement. At least some feedback should be provided on my queries but nothing at all. Are you guys done after selling the car? Customer satisfaction does not matter at all? What about the commitment from the sales person during the car purchase agreement? This is my first deal with driverselect and it didnt went well I guess. I am pretty sure this is definitely will affect the future customer and the internet review of your business. After being there for 4 hours me and my daughter left. That was on or around September 21, 2019. The lack of care or help that I received from the person helping or supposed to help was unacceptable. So since then my credit continues to be checked as well as my co signers. I have already pitched a new vehicle and I have already asked that my credit not be ran anymore.

190 Point Check is lie

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Buyer be aware. The 190 point check is a lie. I bought a car here on Saturday. The A/C did not work and I did not notice. I told them that day. They say "I'm sorry, take it to Toyota, we won't fix that." 5 days later the car will not start. The dealership tells me I should pay for a tow truck and have it taken to the manufacturer to fix. It seems reasonable to believe that a one year old car will work for six days. The dealership is not helpful. As soon as you say you want to return the car, exchange the car, or have them fix it... Customer service stops calling you or responding to you.

DONT GET BOATED

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

They try and sell every customer a warranty that is marked up $1000 dollars over the price Ally Financial is actually selling the warranty for ($2080 not $2989), they try and sell you GAP coverage that is marked up $600 over what Ally Financial actually sells it for

($199 not $799), then to top it all off they try and sell you Portfolio Dent protection for $400 over the actual cost ($90 not $499). So after they price gauge you for $2000 more than what the add-ons actually cost, then they bump your interest rate 2% points over the buy rate that is actually being offered by the bank that approves your financing. ASK for them to show you the BUY RATE from the approved lender (THEY WON'T). They also state they do not accept outside financing in an attempt to capture your financing with their marked up rates. They also have the ability to offer financing through IN Touch Credit Union, but this Credit Union does not allow them to mark up the rate by two points so they never offer it too customers. If you have a 700+ credit score then tell them you only want to have your credit submitted to IN Touch Credit Union.

My wife and I bought a car here and through Ally Financial at 11.99%, we refinanced before ever making a payment through Texans Credit Union at 6.49%... 5 POINTS DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It dropped our payment $90 and shortened the loan 6 months in length saving us thousands of dollars. I learned that Texans Credit Union will actually provide a Cashiers Check at the time of Purchase effectively circumventing their less than transparent attempts to force you to finance the vehicle using their marked up rates. You can also get a substantially lower rate through Bank of America by going through B of A directly and obtaining a pre-approval letter. They also ACCEPT financing through USAA, Navy Federal Credit Union and PENFED Credit Union. There is also the option to use DCU, Digital Credit Union. All of these Banks will provide you with lower financing options than their JACKED UP RATES!!!

Don't fall for the JACKED UP PRICE on the ADD ONS or the JACKED UP RATES for financing, simply walk in and check out the car and request a Purchase Agreement with NO WARRANTY, NO GAP INSURANCE AND NO DENT PROTECTION. Don't allow yourself to be one of the customers they BRAG about turning your deal into a FULL BOAT in their morning meetings. Don't fall for the BAIT AND SWITCH techniques they use to lure you in with a LOW PRICE then PILE ON $4000 in overpriced ADD-ONS. Follow these instructions and BEAT THEM at their own game!!! They won't be happy about it, but YOU WILL BE when you drive off in a car they tried to price ARTIFICALLY LOW to trick you into the add-ons and to force you into financing with them. DON'T get FULL BOATED, get the car you want at the low price, with your own financing and NO overpriced Warranties or ADD-ONS!!!!

Ally Bank does not offer warranties or gap, they allow up to 4000.00 for warranty 800.00 for gap as for the 2 point rate spread it's legal and best practices to charge everyone not to pick and choose . Its common for a dealer to require to arrange financing through a certain lender for a advertised price or incentive.

Every warranty sold by DriversSelect is backed by Ally Financial, same thing with the gap coverage.... *** if you don’t believe me call them and ask who is the provider for those products, *** Speak on it when you know what you are talking about.

Worst place ever

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
(go to bottom if you do not want to read my terrible experience) PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE GOING FOR A LUXURY CAR, OR VALUE YOUR MONEY AND BE AWARE MANY OF THE 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE FAKE. I DIDN'T BELIEVE IT AND I THOUGH "IT WONT HAPPEN TO ME, THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO BUY CARS" UNTIL I FLEW CROSS COUNTRY TO HAVE THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I flew from UT to look at a 2015 BMW 435i Gran Coupe. The price was amazing ($30,289 on a $64,500 MSRP) so I decided to go. I made an Appointment with Greg (Harold) Brown at 10 am. So I got there, waited 30 min to see him and he gave me the car keys to go on a test drive. I take the car, find multiple dents, they put RADAR tires on a BMW (LOL) ( this is to claim the tires are in good condition, put seriously, RADAR on a 64k car?). I noticed the tailgate didn't work, (THEY CLAIMED THAT IS HOW IS SUPPOSE TO WORK, LOL, because this is the first BMW I have test driven or owned right?, but they will "take a look"). So, I went on my test drive and when I came back, This guy has like 8 other customers. WOW he must be good. HAHAHHA WRONG!!!!!. I waited one hour, and here is where gets hilarious. I told him I want buy the car, he offered me the extended warranty $2989. I called my credit union, they can do it for $1989, so I say no. He said "UFF, I DO NOT KNOW IGNACIO, I NEED TO SEE", I said " WHAT DO YOU MEAN, YOU WILL SEE", he said " I WILL SEE IF I CAN SELL YOU THIS CAR, UFF, (start shaking his head), I NEED TO TALK TO THEM (pointing at management)". Ok, he goes, comes back. I filled out a credit app in the mean time. ANOTHER HOUR GOES BY. I got there at 10, now is 1 pm. he came back saying I am not approved. I called Capital one, and guess what. CONGRATULATIONS, YOU ARE APPROVED WITH A 4.9$ APR. I talked to them, one more hour. 2 PM, ok now you are approved. LOL, wow miracle, but with a 7.41 APR. They say " if you get the warranty, we can lower your apr" of course genius, you are going to give me my actual APR and add $3000 to my total so my monthly only goes up $14 bucks. What a bargain, right? I said no. They just walked away. The manager came back. I didn't even know this guy and start trying to sell me the warranty. They treat me like an idiot, criminal and like I was trying to steal from them. it was so getto. I have never been in a place like that. They would throw papers at me. Tell me things like " send me your insurance" and walk away with no eye contact. Hard to explain, but you do not want to be treated like that ever, specially when you are the one giving them money. Since EVERYTHING was sketchy at this point. I was getting really uncomfortable, and I know, why didn't I leave earlier?, because I flew from UT, and I am basically I sold my dignity for money. Getting back to the story, I started buying car reports. Their CARFAX says nothing so I buy an AUTOCHECK. IT HAS AN ACCIDENT!!. PLEASE CHECK AUTOCHECK!!!!!!. This was the last straw. it was 4pm. I walked away. CONCLUSION: CARS ARE CHEAP, AND YOU WILL GET A GOOD TREATMENT IF YOU BUY ALL THEIR JUNK (WARRANTY, DENT PROTECTION AND GAP INSURANCE), WHICH WILL MAKE YOUR CAR NOT CHEAP ANYMORE. APPROX. $4000 MORE. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BUY ANY OF THESE, DO NOT GO!!!!!!!!! UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE CRAP. I DO LIKE TO NEGOTIATE AND BUY CARS, BUT THIS WAS NOT YOUR NORMAL ROUGH NEGOTIATION, THIS WILL BE LIKE BEING SHAKEN DOWN AT THE GHETTO FOR CIGARETTES. PLEASE, CHECK AUTOCHECK. CARS DO HAVE DAMAGE, AND CHECK YOUR CAR THOROUGHLY. DO NOT TRUST ALL THESE GOOD REVIEWS, I SAW MANY PEOPLE LEAVING ANGRY. IF YOU ARE BROKE AF, AND ARE USED TO DEALING WITH LOW CLASS SALESMAN AND WANT A "CAR". THIS IS YOUR PLACE :) BUY THE WARRANTY THOU, THAT CAR WILL HAVE ISSUES AND DO NOT PLAN ON SELLING IT BECAUSE THAT CARFAX WONT BE CLEAN ONCE YOU TAKE IT OUT OF THE LOT. PLEASE READ AND ANALYZE THE REVIEWS, WHO SAYS " I love my friends at driver select?"5 starts - Christina Henderson, "I will forever use this dealership" Laurel Ethridge (only one review, account created 1 day before review) I SHOULD HAVE

They tried to sell me the warranty before I even saw a car! I told them I was financed outside and the salesman acted confused as if they were not certain they could accept outside financing. The cars looked clean and ran well for the most part but I agree the sales service is extremely lacking.

The Dealers also keep a portion of that Extended Warranty and that's the MAIN reason it's being shoved down the Buyer's Throat.

Resolved: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Updated by user Aug 06, 2018

They finally got the part ordered after 3 months and took 2 hours and twenty minutes to do something that should have takes 30 minutes tops (so the guys said)

Original review Aug 06, 2018
Worst customer service I’ve ever had. Buying the car was super easy!

My salesman, Bruce, seemed like a really nice guy. Very attentive before he made the sale. He took time to explain to us why their prices are so low, why there is no negotiating, and bragging on how many salesmen they have and how many cars they can sell in a day. Seemed super impressive, almost TOO good to be true.

Well..... I’ve always been told when it seems too good to be true it probably is! There has NEVER been a more accurate statement. The second I drove the car off the lot I couldn’t get ahold of Bruce or anyone else in the whole building to call me back!

I would call and leave message after message and no one ever called me back. There were a couple of things that needed to be done when I bought the car and I was told when the part came in they would call me. 5 different people and 3 months later I finally got the part put on my car. And something so simple that I was told would take 30 minutes tops, took and hour and twenty tops!!!

Then I drive off the lot and sensor came on. UGH! I called that day (Thursday) and left a message with the same person I had just been dealing with. She NEVER got back with me.

On Monday I drove up their and had to insist that they fix it without an appointment since they were the ones that set it off in the first place. All in all, They are so worried about selling cars that the customer service is *** They all have the same excuse.... We’ll I’m sorry no one has called you back ma’am.... we sell ### cars a day it takes us a while to get back to people!

I’m not the only person that has this complaint.

There were two other people in the waiting room complaining about the same exact thing!!! Maybe you should focus a little more on customer service or just don’t use the word customer service at Drivers Select, because there is NO SUCH THING!!!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I was all set to buy a car. Looked at it on Friday told Heather I would be back with a check on Monday. She didn’t explain the procedures to me so when I called Monday explaining I was ready to pick up my vehicle, Heather stated the car sold on Saturday. She then informed me that I didn’t leave a deposit. I told her I don’t work there and when I told her I wanted the car she should have explained what the next step was. I then talked to the manager who promised me he would get me a car just like that one. I waited a week and decided I wasn’t going to call them. I went to David McDavid in Plano and got the same vehicle with less miles for a $1000 more than Drivers Select. The whole process was about an hour and 45 minutes was the salesman showing me all the bells and whistles on the vehicle. That grand was worth it! I will never go back to Drivers Select. I believe in treating everyone with Ki stand respect. Drivers Select is missing that.

Understating Credit Scores, Aggressive Follow Up

My husband and I went in to purchase a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The car looked fine, had clean carfax, everything looked fine with the deal until the financing component. The initial red flags we encountered were the limited banks they financed with, the heavily encouraged use of ALLY bank, and warranty deals they continually tried to push. ALLY bank has horrible reviews, many specifically dealing with auto loan problems. After they ran our credit, and we keep a close eye on our score, they stated it was 50 points below what we had checked the previous day. We were seeing 740 and they said their credit pulls for us were 670. That's quite a big difference and impacted our interest rate by near double. They gave us a 7.8% interest rate, which was double what we anticipated given our good credit history. We left feeling terrible because we are responsible with our credit and feeling like we were overpaying on a used vehicle. After speaking to our two primary banks, both returned us interest rates around 3-3.5%. I'm glad we dodged a bullet, but it seems suspect that they would inflate the rate by that many percentage points. Additionally, the salesperson was friendly in person for the first hour, but after extensive questioning and not going through with the deal, he told us he would not follow up because its not their style. That was fine until he texted my husband the next day, asking if we were coming in to purchase and he explained his concerns. The conversation turned hostile and he was very rude saying that we wouldn't get to double dip with offers and that interest rate isn't guaranteed from the bank. The conversation amounted to you get what you deserve by not working with us. It was very uncomfortable when he followed up the next week with equally antagonizing text messages. The whole process started okay but left us feeling lucky we weren't scammed like others around us. We strongly feel that you should not trust this company, they are quite shady and aggressive.

On top of them trying to inflate your Rate, next time ask the Seller to see the Buy Rate, and them to SHOW it to you. If they are really trying to help, they'll Shave some of that Buy Rate.

Don't stop there go to the bank they buy the money from the feds @.50-.75 then sell it for what they want based on state lending capps and risk based pricing. To be fair you can not just expect the dealer to sell at buy rate and give the bank a pass it's disclematory.

I don't see any post against lenders from you for not selling you money at buy rate your confused there is a buy rate and a sell rate neither are the same.

Hey I am on your side go to your bank and convince them to sell you money at there buy rate good luck but we all know what the bank's response will be. Then you can beat them up online for being a for profit business .

Drivers Select - Sold a Wrecked Vehicle
Where is the zero star button? My daughter needed to buy a safe, reliable car. We located one on the website for DriversSelect. We made an appointment with Josh to check out the vehicle. We noticed some odd things on the car that was cause for concern and was informed by Josh that the issue was a "manufacturer's defect." Josh proceeded to tell me that the car had a clean Carfax history report and was in perfect condition. Well, that is not the case as you can see below. I have waited a week for Josh or anyone from Drivers Select to return my phone call but sadly, no one did. There is absolutely no worse feeling than to purchase a vehicle and then later learn that it was in an accident. To add insult to injury, Drivers Select is ignoring us as if we did something wrong. Oh wait, we did, we bought a previously wrecked vehicle from them that was not disclosed at the time of purchase. Stay away!

Very disappointed

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Terrible experience with drivers select. My mom picked out the car she wanted online, contacted the company, agreed to the price, and I took her up there to buy the car.

I had my daughter sleeping in my car so I dropped my mom off to test drive and buy the car. Before we went up there we told the salesman we were paying with a check and we didn’t want the warranty. He talked to his manager to confirm that a check was okay. (It was)(or so we were told).

My mom was told after she agreed to purchase that the check was not exceptable and that she had to finance the car. She refused and I head back to pick her up. Oh but wait, they changed there mind. I head back home.

They then say the paperwork can’t be printed. I head to pick her up, oh wait it is working. I head home. This process repeated over every issue you can think of.

We arrived at drivers select at noon. She left the dealership at 8:00pm. She did buy the car but only because she had invested so much time in the process. We thought they would be different because they don’t negotiate.

Total BS. If you don’t want there financing or warranty you are wasting there time! That is were there money is made. They will *** you around all day!

She wasn’t the only one. Several people had similar stories.

You get the used car salesman *** either way it seems. I will never go back to drivers select.

The same exact thing happened to me. They lower the price of the vehicle to get you to the showroom.

They will not accept your personal bank financing.

They force you to take gap insurance and their extended warranty. This is a SCAM!
